One of the most revered vampires from this era was Osiris. He and his brother Set, born unto vampire, were abandoned by their parents. Set and Osiris were raised by a family that practiced the dark arts. The surrogate parents and their daughters, Isis and Nephtus, trained the two brothers well in the arts. Osiris would become king and marry Isis. He would use his knowledge of the arts and his power as a Vampire to teach his people how to work the land. Egypt was on it’s way to becoming the legendary metropolis that it was it that time. As Egypt continued to grow in wealth and population Set became jealous of Osiris and his stature throughout the land. Set continued to nurse his rage and began to feed on humans, building an army of minions to help him overthrow Osiris so that he may take the throne. When the time came, Set and his children murdered Osiris, immediately promoting himself as Pharaoh.

Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris was associated with a powerful sorcerer known at that time as Ra. Enraged by the actions of his uncle, Horus went to the sorcerer and had him place a curse on Set and his children; They would never walk in the daylight again lest they be destroyed. In the meanwhile, Isis in her grief, had been vigilantly searching for a way to bring Osiris back from the dead. Having turned to the book of the dead, she found success and retrieved Osiris from the netherworld but could not break the ties as he was now forever bound to the world of the dead. Legend states that this is when Osiris earned the title “Lord of the Underworld” later to be known as Hades.

Osiris or Hades, having ties to the underworld would allow for his bloodline to have access to knowledge and abilities that were unobtainable by humans. It is suggested that this is when the inherited traits of psychic and telekinetic abilities were obtained throughout the Vampire race.

Was Lilith Mother of the Vampire Race?

lilith1        Lilith was said to have been the first mate to Adam, created by God from the dust of the earth, just as Adam. Because of this, she saw herself as his equal, Adam failed to see things the same way. After years of struggling between each other Lilith put and end to their marriage by refusing to submit to him and fleeing the Garden of Eden. Lilith came to live by the sea where God had previously cast down 199 angels that had gone against his commands, namely having relations with mortal females; thus fathering the Nephilim. The Nephilim have left in their wake a broad imprint in ancient documents, to include the modern day Bible. Known to have been giants that possessed unnatural abilities and knowledge, the Nephilim would later be tagged as Gods, and vampires.

Adam, after having calmed from their their argument began to realize that Lilith would not be returning to him. He shouted to God above him, “What am I to do now, I have no mate!” God looked down to Adam and pitied him. God then sent Gabriel with a handful of other Angels to retrieve Lilith and return her to Adam. When She refused, she was offered and ultimatum. In order to remain a free woman, Lilith would have to watch 100 of her children die every day. She accepted the ultimatum, but added terms of her own. For any male child born she would have dominion over him for 8 days, for every female, 20 days. Gabriel accepted her terms upon consulting with God and left Lilith standing in the center of the sea. God once again took pity on Adam and caused him to fall into a deep sleep when he would remove a rib and form Eve, his second mate.

By this point, Lilith had certainly established herself as the mother of demons, as noted in both the Book of Enoch and the Alphabet of Ben Sirach. Lilith, as a unique creation of God possessed certain attributes that her descendant did not. Having mated the downcast Angels, also unique creations that had retained their immortal lives and unnatural abilities, Lilith was certainly the mother of a superior race of beings. Inclinations of both Lilith and her offspring being known as blood drinkers exist in many ancient documents. Lilith was said to feed on infants. The Nephilim that she bore have also earned the reputations of being blood thirsty Gods.

Though the stories of Lilith and the Nephilim predate the Egyptian empire, many forms of documentation have been found in temple ruins where ancient Egypt once stood. Amulets, statues, jewelry, text and paintings all depict Lilith as a bloodthirsty and vengeful God. So, with all of this information in mind, does one form the opinion that Lilith could be the originator of the Vampire blood line. I caution you to ponder the legend and not form your final opinion until having read all of the theories of creation, as all of them have very valid roots and many forms of documentation that remains until this day.

A vampire origination theory based on Cain

Visit my publisher, DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. for deep pocket discounts from retail costs!       Both the modern day Bible and the Quran identify Cain as the first son born of Adam and Eve, his brother Abel being the second. Cain was said that have been a cultivator of the land while Abel was a shepherd. One evening Cain selected the finest of his harvest to present to God the Father as an offering. Abel also presented an offering, comprised of the finest calf of his flock and other choice cuts of meat from fatted calves among his herd. God found favor in Abel’s offering and showered praise down upon him, while no praise was given to Cain.

Cain grew jealous of Abel. One day as he and his brother walked out into the fields, Cain murdered his brother with his bare hands. The Earth below swallowed his blood and immediately called out to God, notifying the Father of Abel’s death. After this God said unto Cain, “Where is thou brother Abel?” to which Cain replied, “I do not know: Am I my brothers’ keeper?” After this God said to Cain “What hast thou done?” “The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth out to me from the ground” At this God place a curse upon Cain. No longer would the soil of the earth yield healthy crops for him and he would walk the earth as a fugitive and a vagabond. The Hebrew legend states that the ground trembled as Cain received the curse, indicatory of tremors that Cain may have suffered while receiving a mark from God for his sin. In this mark God made and oath that Cain would wander the earth aimlessly and that Cain would have divine protection against premature death, no man could kill Cain.

This is only the beginning of Cain’s tale, though little more mention was made of him in the traditional Bible, other than his acts. From here Cain began to wander the earth until he met up with Lilith. There are two conflicting stories of where the encounter took place; The first states that they met as the Red Sea, the second states that they met while Cain wandered the land of Nod. Lilith sees that he is cold and hungry and welcomes him as she identifies herself as the first wife of Adam. After staying with her for some time, the two of them become lovers. Cain begins to realize that Lilith has powers and magic that he too would like to possess. Lilith hesitates but creates an Awakening Ceremony where she opens herself with a knife and bleeds into a bowl. She gives the bowl to Cain and orders him to drink of her blood. After Cain partakes in her blood he is visited by three angels, each offering an opportunity for him to repent of the murder of his brother. Cain rebukes each opportunity and with each rejection he is cursed. The first curse being a weakness to fire, the second, vulnerability to sunlight and the third would implant a beast like urge within him that would only be quelled by the taste of blood.

Time passed and Cain came to master his new abilities, as he grew stronger he again yearned to wander the earth, thus leaving Lilith behind. Cain was said to have eventually settled in a small agricultural community known as Ubar, inhabited by the children of Seth and ruled by their Kink Enoch; it was here that Cain would become known as the Dark Father.

The villagers were aware of Cain and were familiar with his mark, a short time passed before they began to worship him as they marveled at his powers, King Enoch would relinquish his thrown to Cain who would now rule over the city. A legend exists within the legend: One evening Cain was watching two young lovers amongst his court. So touched by the affections between the two of them, he decided to share his gift of immortality so that they could be in love always. The couple surrendered to his wishes but once they discovered that they could not bare children they became distraught and walked into the sun, thus ending their immortal life and love. Cain was so heartbroken by their actions that he forbade the mention of their names, thus wiping them from history. The former King, Enoch, had begged Cain to introduce him to his powers for decades, now upon his grief of the death of the young lovers, Cain was reluctant to oblige, but the raging beast within him longed for the companionship of others like him. Constant attempts made by Enoch would eventually win Cain over. Cain, in honor of his new vampiric son, declared Ubar to become known as the city of Enoch. Time passed and Enoch began to desire kindred brethren of his own, Cain obliged and created several sons. These sons became leaders of armies, farmers of the land and inventors of great creations. The city of Enoch became a great empire boasting some of the finest crops and modern technologies of it’s time until being destroyed by the great flood.

So, now we have examined both the Lilith and Cain theories, as the commercials say, “But wait! there’s more!” Next we will examine the Judas Theory!

Until then,

Vampire Kisses!

The Nephilim Theory, creators of the first vampire?

To begin with, there is no “theory” of the Nephilim, it is a fact that they did exist, as stated in the Old Testament.

The “Theory” is that the Nephilim were the creators of the first Vampire. As a matter of opinion, I must admit that I agree.

Let’s start from the beginning!

Visit DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. today for discounts and perks!      Nephilim were the offspring of the “Watchers,” 200 angels that were cast out of heaven by God. The Watchers had become arrogant and desired to be equal to God whilst also they plotted to go down upon the Earth and take the daughters of man to mate with as they had acquired a great lust for human flesh. God had made himself clear that no angel should lie with the daughters of mankind. Though the bible is very sketchy with the details, the book of Enoch relays the tale with much more detail; possibly explaining why the book was not made a part of the original Bible. (The prophesies of Enoch are mentioned in the letter of Jude (Jude 1: 14-15).

The tales of affairs between mortal and the fallen vary. Very few references have been made of “true love” affairs, most accounts indicate that the women were not willing partners. Easy to believe as it was said that no mortal could survive bearing a Nephilim. Enoch relays the accounts in the book of Watchers, filling in many of the blanks left within the Old Testament as it was rewritten throughout the years. His account is as follows:

“And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood.” *

It also discusses the teaching of humans by the fallen angels chiefly Azazel:

“And Azâzêl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl, taught astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Ezêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun, and Sariêl the course of the moon.“

At this point God had enough and decided to wipe the evil from the face of the earth, the prelude to a well-known bible story “Noah and the ark”.

Now with this knowledge in mind, I recalled some research that I had done for a blog that I posted on “The Book of Nod.” In the book of Nod it is insinuated that the first Vampire was born of Lilith and Cain. This is not a big jump from the information found in the book of Enoch. The book of Nod tells that when Lilith refused Adam she was cast out of the Garden of Eden and made to live next to the Red Sea where it is believed the Watchers were residing as well. The book of Nod states the following:

For beyond the land of Eden, lay the land of Nod where Cain ran to. He saw lands to be tilled and animals to be tamed; yet he would not do God’s work. Cain cursed his existence and refused to give glory to God. He wandered alone long into the night; then upon him came a woman. Garments dark as night, woven from shadows. Skin as pale as the moon with a chill as cold winters grasp. Eyes and lips glowing as embers in the night. Cain questioned who this woman was, she responded as ” I am Lilith…second created from God. First banished.”Lilith of unnatural power; with the belief of a survival of the fittest. Lilith taunted Caine, showing him her dark power but not teaching it to him. So he took her blood, devoured her powers. Believing he became stronger, with the belief of survival of the fittest; he took it upon himself to taunt Lilith and the Children of Seth. The belief of conquering the brood of Seth and “if thee shall worship me, they are free to do so.” And so came temptation.

Two distinct legends based on two ancient texts; one having been written throughout a span of time by many scholars (some say even Cain had a hand in the writings) and one written by the Great Grandfather of Noah. Both collaborating the other through different venues.

Abhartach-A Vampire legend from Ireland

mormantul-lui-abhartach      Irish legend dubs Abhartach as an ancient ruler of a small kingdom from the 5th or 6th century. During this time period in an area known as Glenuilin (glen of the eagle) comprised of several kingdoms with their own ruler. This area has been well documented through history and many indications of their existence still remain in the country sides.

+Abhartach was recorded as being dwarf like in nature but was revered as a powerful magician and a tyrant monarch. Hated by his subjects, they plotted his demise. Too fearful of his powerful magic to attempt the deed themselves they recruited a chieftain from a neighboring village named Cathrain to execute the task for them.

Happy to oblige, Cathrain quickly rose to the deed and Abhartach was murdered and buried, but not for long. An angry Abhartach returned the next day demanding blood from each of his subjects to “sustain his vile corpse”. Cathrain consulted with a druid priest and then returned to kill Abhartach again. His task completed, he reburied the twice dead ruler. Abhartach arose once, maddening with rage and demanded more blood from his subjects. Baffled by his resurrection, Cathrain consulted with a Christian Saint instead of a druid. The Priest told Cathrain that Abhartach was not completely dead, nor could he be killed because of his acquired powers. Abhartach was now one of the marbh bheo (the walking dead) and would torment his people for eternity until he had been suspended. The Priest instructed Cathrain to stab him in the heart with a sword made of Yew wood, burying him upside down and then to place thorns around his grave topping him with a large capstone. Cathrain followed the instructions going one step further and building a leacht over the gravesite.

Today the leacht is gone but the capstone remnants of the capstone remain as a tree has grown from the thorns or the Yew hewn sword. Around the roots of the tree grass will not grow and a ring of red soil surrounds the tree. The ground is cursed and has changed owners many times throughout history. Current occupants of the town will still not go near the tree after dark.

In 1997 several attempts were made to clear the land by new owners, upon every attempt to cut down the tree, the workers’ chainsaws would malfunction. Eventually the tree surrendered and was removed from the site revealing the large stone surrounded by several smaller stones. Several attempts were made to remove the stones resulting in the chain snapping and injuring several of the workers. No further documentation is found.

It’s Friday the 13th!

hanging    Millions of folks awoke this morning in search of their lucky trinkets as an attempt to ward off the evil and ill luck said to be associated with Friday the 13th. But how did this day become tagged as one of the most ill fated dates in history?

The answer may lie within the superstitions below:

Friday has been an inauspicious day for centuries in many cultures. Being held to be unlucky as evil powers were said to be at their peak on this day, Friday the 13th is definitely a day to be aware of your surroundings!

In ancient Rome Friday was execution day

From the Christian Bible:

Friday is the day that Eve reputedly gave the forbidden fruit to Adam

The great flood is thought to have started on Friday

God struck down the builders of the Tower of Babel on a Friday

The temple of Solomon was destroyed on a Friday

and as we all know, Christ was crucified on a Friday.

In Britain Friday was the customary hanging day

The word Friday was derived from the Norse Goddess Frigg, wife of Odin. Frigg was known as the Goddess of marriage & fertility, the moon and witches. The Christian church had cast her into folklore as a witch and her day, Friday, soon became associated with witchcraft and evil doings. Her legend goes something like this:

The witches of the north were said to observe their sabbath on Fridays gathering in a cemetery under the light of the moon. On one sabbath the Goddess herself appeared before a group of 12 witches and gifted them with a cat, therefore completing the coven with the 13th member. From this day forward, cats are the most common familiars of witches, and all covens are comprised of 13 members.

The number 13 in itself has been unlucky throughout history, a few examples of such are as follows:

There are 13 steps that lead to the gallows

The hangman’s noose contains 13 knots

The blade of the guillotine falls 13 feet

There were 13 people at the last supper

The 13th card in a tarot deck is the “death” card

Princess Diana’s driver hit the 13th pillar at Palace de l’Alma when she was killed in Paris

Apollo 13 in 1970 on the 13th mission was to be launched from pad #39 which measured 13 x 3, the mission was aborted after an explosion in the fuel cell of the service module. The rocked was shuttled away from the launch pad at 13:13 on Friday the 13th.

It is reported that in an attempt to debunk the legend of Friday the 13th as ill-fated, the British government commissioned a special ship. It’s name, the H.M.S. Friday. The crew was selected on a Friday, the keel was set on a Friday, the Captain’s name was Friday and it was on Friday the 13th that she set sail on her maiden voyage, never to be heard from again.

There are many other references to both the ill-fated Friday and the unlucky number 13 that have been intertwined together beginning back as far as Ancient Egypt. Friday the 13th is the most feared day in modern history, and with so many different references from numerous eras and cultures, it is certain to remain so.
